Why do you want to become a nanny?
I love working with children. I love their interest in the world and the discoveries they are making, and I enjoy watching them learn to walk and talk. The young years are so miraculous and I have had a blast being a part of those years with my young charges.
Describe your past childcare experience:
I started my nanny career as a live in caring for an eight-year-old and a thirteen-year-old. I cleaned the house, cooked the meals, and drove the children to school. In graduate school I worked for one year taking care of an infant (6 weeks when I started) and his eighteen-month-old brother. Occasionally, I also cared for their ten-year-old sister. Even after I left the part time position I continued babysitting for them for the next to years. I next worked for two years caring for a one-year-old with Down Syndrome, and (later) her infant brother.
Additional Comments:
I have very good relationships with the families I work for and continue to maintain contact with them.
