100 Tips for Nannies and Families
The advice in this book comes from Candi Wingate, President of Nannies4hire.com.
“ Hello, my name is Lance Briggs of the Chicago Bears. I use Nannies4hire.com in order to find the right care taker for my family. This site is great because being a high profile athlete, it can be very difficult finding someone you can trust. It's clear with Background checks, a list of history or past experiences, and references. The evaluation process is extensive. This really helps when I am looking for someone who best suits my household.”

Why do you want to become a nanny?
Since I've recently revisited the sitting/nanny part of my life I've realized I love kids and all the energy they bring life! I truly have a passion for children. I have an associates degree in Liberal Arts with an emphasis in early childhood developement. I love kids and work well with all different ages. I have no issues caring for children with disabilities. I like to bond with children through fun and stimulating activities and adamantly believe that nannying goes beyond TV and Video games. Keeping kids active is important! My ultimate goal in life is to start my own child care business. I plan on prusing my goal by continuing my education in early childhood education and business.
Describe your past childcare experience:
I have several years experience caring for children of all different ages. I have always been surrounded by children, and they've always been a huge part of my life. I have 3 nieces (the oldest is 11, my second is 8 and the youngest is 2) and 1 nephew(6 years old). I've cared for all of them from an infant age to present age. Furthermore, In the past year I've been a part-time/full-time nanny in Park City, Utah. I cared for a 4 month old babygirl named Ila. I was a live out nanny. I would do Ila's laundry, pick up her room, keep the house tighty, and run errands, such as grocery list and/or laundromat drop offs and pick ups. I cared for Ila 4 days a week MON-THURS. On my days off, FRI-SUN, I would babysit for 3 other families in the Park City area. I watched 2 boys, Mason(6) and Liam(3) on fridays. I would pick the boys' up from school, prepare snack, do homework with the boys', and play with the boys' outside. I would do light house work and all the boys laundry. Occasionally, I would put the boys to bed. On weekends I helped out another family with two kids, Whitney(5) and Griffin(3). I would prepare dinner and get the two kids ready for bed. Whitney was a little artist and together we spent hours in the play/art room using our imaginations! During the summer I traveled with Whitney and Griffen's family to visit san diego for a week, we all had a blast! The last family I consistantly helped had two children, Max(5) and Leo (2 1/2). I would get the boys' ready for their naps. I loved reading with Max and Leo, they were full of questions. We would play outside and use side walk chalk to draw "Excavators" after their naps. I love children and they love me!
Additional Comments:
| I invite parents to please contact me with any questions you may have. I understand it takes an enormous amount of trust in order for a parent to leave their child with a nanny or sitter, and I am more than happy to meet with you first in order to establish the necessary comfort and trust.
