“We LOVE our nanny we hired through Nannies4hire and used her for 2 summers!”
In 1918, the World's First Indoor Rodeo took place in Fort Worth. Today, the Cowtown Coliseum is up to date and modern but still embraces the aura of a historic site. The Cowtown Coliseum has also been the location of numerous movies, television shows, and music videos. George Strait and Billy Dean have filmed music videos at the Coliseum. Movies with scenes filmed at the Coliseum have included Dennis Quaid in ""Tough Enough"" and George Strait in ""Pure Country"". The CBS TV Show ""Walker Texas Ranger"" with Chuck Norris has also filmed scenes in and around the Coliseum.
Up and down Stockyards Station's narrow streets you'll find storefronts from the late 1800s, renovated just for the tourists. Stores are full of Western memorabilia including paintings, leather goods, books, glassware and hundreds of other treasures. Wild West performances are staged regularly at the Cowtown Coliseum. If your nanny hankers to be part of the “Old West” she can mosey on down to the Jersey Lilly Old Time Photo Parlor that is located in the Texas Cowboy Hall of Fame and dress up as a Fancy Lady or Saloon Girl. At mealtime, Riscky's and other restaurants offer up steak, catfish and other local goodies. And for the grand finale she can take a ride on the Tarantula Train that shuttle passengers in and out of nostalgic times!
