Testimonials

I just wanted to say that I was very glad that I took the time to register with you. I knew that one day I would find a family or vise versa, that would meet my needs. I enjoy children so much, I am so very happy with the family that I am with. The night that I had e-mailed them, she had contacted me that same night, we set up an interview for that sunday, they hired me that following thursday. I was so thrilled, it took me almost a year to find the right family, but in the long run it was all worth while. I just wanted to say thank you.

One of the places your nanny has to visit is the house that was once the residence of Harriet Beecher Stowe (1811-1896), the influential antislavery author who wrote Uncle Tom's Cabin. It was here in Cincinnati where Stowe learned about the evils of slavery which inspired her book. Her characters mirrored real-life individuals such as Josiah Henson, a fugitive slave who escaped from Kentucky to Canada via the Underground Railroad with his wife and two children. In the museum shop, she will find books about Harriet Beecher Stowe, Women's suffrage, African American history, Victorian Art and Architecture and 19th century games and toys. There is also some unique merchandise with paintings and quotations of Harriet Beecher Stowe are reproduced on several gift items. You will be delighted!

When the formation of the Cincinnati Red Stockings took place in 1869, professional baseball and America's passion for the sport were born, and grew, right here in Cincinnati. For the first time, the Cincinnati Reds Hall of Fame and Museum offers fans of the Reds, and of baseball, the first comprehensive look into the sports heralded past. No place is there such a complete collection of artifacts from the first professional baseball team and its rich history in the major leagues. The Reds Hall of Fame, which opened to the public Sept. 25, 2004, is just west of Great American Ball Park, the home of the Cincinnati Reds, along Cincinnati's riverfront. The facility features more than 16,000 square feet of exhibit space on two floors. Well worth the visit for the interested fan!
