“I hired a WONDERFUL nanny through your service named Sage! What an asset to our family! Thank you for everything! You were worth every cent!”
The Como Park Zoo and Conservatory Zoo is an experience your nanny must undertake! We're not just talking about the birth announcements of Saki Monkeys on October 18, 2005. (Saki Monkeys very rarely give birth to twins, so you know they must be proud!) Or Gina, a female reticulated giraffe born April 14, and Dot, a female Grant's zebra born May 22. We are talking about all of the different and unique classes at the Marjorie McNeely Conservatory. For instance - submerge yourself into the world of puffins; explore their habitat, feeding patterns and courtship rituals. Or perhaps calming your sweet tooth might be in order. Learn all about chocolate, where it comes from and how it is made. Test out those taste buds of yours by taking a blindfold taste test! Perhaps you like to explore the many uses and tastes of spice in this unique program? How about the ancient art of bonsai? Learn the ancient art, how it is practiced and how you too, can become a bonsai artist. Oh, and have you ever seen a fish that can eat a small primate or a bird? Well – maybe you might want to pass this class by. But don’t let the others get away!
Parks are the number one venue for the arts in Saint Paul! Whether you enjoy a music concert, a play, murals, sculptures, or arts classes, we have it all! Hear the likes of the Banjo Bandits or the smoothing sounds of the Linden Hills Chamber Orchestra. If jazz is your venue, then take a listen to the River City Jazz Orchestra. Want theater? How about “A Comedy of Errors”, “Bye, Bye Birdie, or the “Music Man”. Perhaps it’s the art classes that might hold your nanny’s attention. Welcome to St. Paul’s art program where they have class for all ages. Botanical Art and Illustration courses at the Como Park Zoo and Conservatory or perhaps just viewing art is more your speed. If so, touring the park bring visions of a boy riding on turtle while holding a small turtle, a girl riding a dolphin, and a girl riding on a flying goose and many, many more! Take the walk, it will be time well spent!
Flourishing greens, challenging fairways, and stunning landscapes, all can be found at all the golf course of Saint Paul’s Parks and Recreations. Como Park, Highland National, Highland 9, and Phalen Park Each course greets customers on a daily basis. So grab your favorite club, pick a tee and get ready to swing on your course of your choice. While Highland Park is a 9-hole, both Como Park and Phalen Park offer the distance of 18-holes. Highland National is also an 18-hole, with a par 72 course and a 71.2 rating. It. has just been newly renovated and the course is not only longer but much more challenging and gives the golfer a opportunity to use a variety of different clubs. Highland has a “signature hole” on the 15th and features a large “Snoopy” shaped bunker! What more could a golfing nanny ask for?!
