My past childcare experience: II provide fun, patient, kind, and experienced care; and I would love to discuss your childcare needs with you! A little about me...I am currently working in a the xx School District as an Assistant Preschool Teacher. There I provide fun, patient, and kind care for up to 25 preschoolers ages 3-5. Weekly I plan and lead creative and educational small group and large group activities. They follow the High Scope Preschool Curriculum, placing an emphasis on social-emotional development; and I have completed ongoing High Scope Professional Development training (35.5 hours since October 2015). I have experience working with children as young as twenty two months old and as old as twelve years old. I am currently planning on pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education with an Early Childhood Endorsement. Before working in the xx School District, I taught swim lessons at xx, and provided babysitting for a plethora of different families. (Which I continue to do on the side) I am CPR (child and adult), First Aid, and AED certified. Eleven excellent references and letters of recommendation are available, and I also have a completed Preferred+ Background Check on Care.com, and also completed checks through the State of Michigan.
Additional Comments: When I care for children I am constantly working to enrich their minds and invigorate their imaginations. I come prepared with a whole bucket of games, activities, a Paint Spinner with at least 20 different paints, a Crayola Glow Station, Scavenger Hunt game, Loony Bin, Uno Attack, a dancing Cinderella Ball game, a whole separate bag of books, the list goes on! Other activities might include imaginative play, outdoor play, reading stories, being creative with arts & crafts, science experiments; and going on fun trips to the park, library, pool, and on other fun outings! For preschool aged children we can also work on laying down all the essential preschool foundations including : letter writing, letter sounds, shapes, counting, sorting, early mathematics, calendar [day of week, month, year, season], fine motor development and gross motor development. I am 22 years old and I am mature, responsible, and reliable.
